Battlestar Galactica Online — the space-combat MMO Bigpoint shut down in 2019 — is flying again. BSGO Nova is a free, fan-made revival: the server was rebuilt from the ground up by the community, with the same ships, the same sectors, and the same war between Colonials and Cylons.
What BSGO Nova is
It’s the game you remember, brought back and kept running by people who didn’t want it to disappear. There are no microtransactions and nothing is pay-to-win — everything is earned by flying, fighting, and upgrading. All you need is a Windows PC and the launcher.
How to get in
- Download the launcher — it’s small, and it pulls down everything the client needs.
- Pick a side: Colonial or Cylon.
- Run the tutorial to learn movement and combat, then start taking missions.
New pilot? The Getting Started guide walks you through your first hour, and the Fleet roster shows every ship you’ll be able to fly.
Where we’re headed
Development happens in the open. We ship fixes and improvements constantly — you can follow every deploy on the changelog, and this devblog will cover the bigger updates as they land. Found a bug? File it on the bug tracker; filed bugs are the ones that get fixed.
